Today was my first day off since I arrived in Afghanistan.
I spent 2 hours waiting in line at the post office, decorated for Christmas, turned in my laundry, organized a shelf in my room, wrote postcards and holiday cards, and visited with friends.
Internet was down for most of the day, as was hot water. Finally took a shower and it's nearly dinner time.
Somehow, I'm exhausted. :)
It was hard for me to not launch into autopilot and work.
